How can you be sure that a Pokémon card or any other card evaluated by CGC is genuine?
1- Check the CGC logo
The CGC logo is printed in white with a clear font, and in the background, the CGC logo appears repeated several times with colors that change when the card is moved under light.
2- Certification Number
Visit the official website: https://www.cgccards.com/certlookup. Enter the certificate number. If the card appears with the same specifications and image, it is genuine.
3- CGC logo on the back
On the reverse side of the card, on the left, is the CGC logo integrated into the design and surrounded by fine details, with colors that change when the card is moved under light.
4- Checking the QR code
Scan the barcode with your mobile phone and it will take you to the card page on the CGC website.
5- Examination under Black Light (UV)
When a UV light is shone on a CGC label, the hidden CGC logo often appears on the right side below the grade number, and on PRISTINE 10 cards it may appear more clearly on the left side.
